Flavia
Berys is director for the San
Diego Sockers Performance Team, a co-ed squad that performs and
interacts with fans at professional indoor soccer games and is produced
in partnership with e2k
Sports.
She
is available as a cheerleading coach and also as an expert witness
for legal trials involving the sport of cheerleading.
Flavia's
13-year involvement in the sport of cheerleading includes three years
as a UCLA Cheerleader, five years as a cheerleading instructor for the
Universal Cheerleaders
Association (UCA), and two years cheering professionally for the
NFL as a San Diego
Charger Girl. Her work in sports entertainment has taken her as
far as Canada to perform at the 2001 Bud Bowl and to Sydney, Australia,
to perform with Chris Isaac at the 1999 NFL American Bowl.
As
a dance team director for e2k
Sports, the world leader in sports entertainment, Flavia traveled
to Prague, Czech Republic, to direct Eastern Europe's first professional
dance team, the 2001 Eurotel
Cheerleaders. She also coordinated the 2002 and 2003 NFL Pro Bowl
cheerleading programs for e2k Sports in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Flavia
directed and choreographed the halftime shows for the 2000, 2001, and
2002 San Diego Jr. Charger Girl Programs and also
organized and administered a series of youth cheerleading clinics on
the island of Guam.
A
graduate of UCLA with a BA in English and Business Administration, Flavia
has also worked as a marketing consultant for five years. She writes
and designs marketing material for businesses around the country,
and was editor-in-chief for The San Diego Woman's Digest for three years.
The
Wall Street Journal, KFMB Channel 8 San Diego, and The La Jolla Light
have featured stories that spotlight Flavia's involvement in the world
of dance and cheerleading.
