In 1961, many nations joined together to create a simplified method of "legalizing" documents for universal recognition. Members of the conference, referred to as the Hague Convention, adopted a document referred to as an Apostille that would be recognized by all member nations. Documents sent to member nations, completed with an Apostille at the state level, may be submitted directly to the member nation without further action.To obtain an Apostille, you can do it yourself by following the directions provided on the Secretary of State's home page (available on my Links and Resources page).

I also offer Apostille service "direct to your door" for your convenience. This includes pick-up and drop-off at your location. In most cases, I can offer same-day or next-day delivery of the completed Apostille. Please see below for rates.
